Christmastime!

It’s Christmas!  It’s one of my favourite holidays again!   It’s a strange Christmas though because we had no tree and hardly any Christmas decorations.  But at least we have Christmas gifts!

We’ve been away for a long time so I’m sure my bud must have gotten me some cool game presents to make up for it.

I was in such a good mood I made the effort to 3D print some cool Christmas name tags.  I focused on blinging out the name of the giver.  That’s the important part after all.

And then it was time to open my presents.

First I got Canadian Smarties.  They’re cool.  But I’m already a pretty smart bear.

Then my bud got a bandana.  I took it and put it on.  Looks better on me anyway.

Next I got to the packages that were from my bud.  I can’t wait to see what they are!

STEAM GAME CONTROLLERS! Yesss!  I have more ways to game.  I knew my bud would come through for Christmas.

To the media room, Nicholas!

You bet I’m your lucky bear

So PoOn came to town and Nicholas started talking about his favourite station, the Santa Fe station where he goes to indulge in gluttinous overeating at their ridiculously cheap local’s buffet.

“Has Sumi been there yet?” PoOn asked.

Exactly the right question.  Why HAVEN’T I been there yet when it’s my bud’s favourite station?

So it was settled.  We were going to Nicholas’ favourite station and I was coming.

Well the buffet was just O.K.  Not really much in the way of foods I like, but everyone else seemed to like it fine.

Then it was time for BUFFALO!  One of Nicholas’ favourite games at the Station Casino is the Buffalo Slots machine.  Because it says BUFFALO!!  There was a bears one too but somehow that wasn’t as interesting.  Probably because I wasn’t in it.

So we sat down and started gaming.  Time to bust out my lucky bear skillz!

And I won!  You know it!!!!  This game is easy.  I should play it more often!  Then Nicholas wouldn’t have to raid my bear box as often.

What every day should be

Every day should be like this.

Gaming day with my bud and I.

Sadly there’s been a dearth of gaming.  My bud tricked me in this picture.  He told me there would be gaming.   I sat down.  We took this picture.  Then he took apart our gaming desk!

What is happening, cruel world?  Why is everything in boxes?!?!?!

Farewell Chile

Well, it’s been almost 7 months in Chile and now it’s time to say goodbye.

Chile, it’s been fun.  I liked playing tourist.  I didn’t like my lack of internet.  I tolerated my amount of gaming and I enjoyed hoarding alfajores  — but let’s be real.  It’s time to get back on a plane and get back to some real gaming and bear tin growing!

Adios!  Let’s go Nicholas!

I want a better bear cave than this

While we were waiting for the sun to set at Anakena (of course we were waiting for the sunset, thanks to Pokin and her want of sunset taking pictures ways), we strolled along the coast to check out more sea caves.

I have previously gone on record to say the way Nicholas wants a man-gaming-cave, I want a bear-gaming cave.

Let me now go on record that my bear-cave shan’t look like this.

Not my bear cave

It better be warm, comfortable, plush, and fully stocked with chocolate.

Nicholas did you take note?

Not my bear cave, really!

Universidad Católica del Norte

Today, I got to visit Universidad Católica del Norte.

We wanted to sit in the auditorium to use the free wifi but they were holding a networking event.

I think they had chocolate and I wanted to help myself to some but for some absurd reason everyone thought I would look too conspicuous.

So instead I got on my computer and just tried to look busy.

Later I successfully entered the auditorium because Nicholas had to give a talk.

There was no more chocolate though.

It was not my favourite day.

Super Sumi Saturday

mybed-3Today is a very important day.

So important, in fact, that I’ve given it its own name…never mind that it happens every week. Here it is — wait for it —

Super. Sumi. Saturday. !

Super Sumi Saturdays are meant for two things, and two things only.  Gaming.  And Sleeping in.

Here I am taking a break from smacking my best bear bud awake to let us both recover.

Sufficient rest is important.  We have to be in tip top form for these challenging activities. Because, let’s be frank.  We all know what comes after 24 hours of this stuff.

Super Sumi Sunday.

Oh indeed.
